David Mark awards scholarship to 9-year-old boy in Delta over this

The former senate president, David Mark has awarded an academic scholarship to a nine-year-old boy, in Delta state identified as Divine Okoacha.

The scholarship was announced by the senator on Friday at the funeral programme of the mother of Paul Mumeh, his chief press secretary (CPS), in the Abavo community, Ika south LGA of Delta.

He maintained that the scholarship is being awarded because “admires the swag of the boy” and stated that the scholarship would run till the secondary school level.

His words were; “Today, I have decided to please God. So I’m extending an academic scholarship to this nine-year-old boy whose swag I admire a lot,” Mark said.

The boy arranged himself very well, his poise and comportment are superb. I am therefore putting him on scholarship from today till he finishes secondary school.”

Giving accolades to his spokesperson, David Mark said; “Paul Mumeh is the most reliable person. Despite being out of government, Paul has remained glued to me and my family,” he said

He has not stopped to put me in the better narrative, intercepting the missiles from the media and firing back on my behalf.”

Dignitaries at the funeral included Charles Aniagwu, Delta state commissioner for works (rural roads and coastal areas), Sola Adebayo, Warri-based media entrepreneur and business mogul, and Joe Obi, director of corporate communication and market development at the National Insurance Commission, and Friday Olokor, group politics editor of The PUNCH, among others.
