In a tragic incident in Israel, a young Israeli couple fell victim to Hamas terrorists who invaded their home. However, amidst the chaos, Itay and Hadar Berdichevsky, both 30 years old, displayed remarkable courage by ensuring the safety of their 10-month-old twin infants. As the terrorists attempted to breach their front door, the terrified parents swiftly ushered their babies into a concealed shelter.
Before succumbing to the assailants, Itay and Hadar valiantly defended their home during the assault on Israel, a devastating conflict that has claimed the lives of over 700 Israelis.
Fortunately, Israeli soldiers later discovered and rescued the two helpless infants, who had been left alone for more than 12 agonizing hours.
Gali Dagan, the Israeli ambassador to Colombia, praised the Berdichevsky couple as true heroes who went to great lengths to protect their children.
“They hid their 10-month-old twin children in the shelter while terrorists infiltrated their home,” Dagan conveyed on Twitter. “Itay and Hadar were brutally murdered after bravely fighting the terrorists. The babies were left alone for more than 12 hours until they were rescued. Imagine the horror. Two terrified parents doing everything they can to save their children, who are now orphaned. Blessed be the memory of these heroes.”
Itay and Hadar Berdichevsky are among the tragic casualties of the Hamas terrorist assault that took Israel by surprise over the weekend.
