Lord Lamba is embroiled in a custody battle with Queen Mercy Atang for their daughter following the reality star’s engagement.

In legal filings shared online, Kelvin Anagbodu, known as Lord Lamba, expressed his desire to obtain custody of their child, citing concerns about another man raising her.

Lord Lamba stated his concerns about Queen Mercy’s upcoming marriage, fearing she won’t have sufficient time to care for their daughter.

He proposed that his mother and sister would be better equipped to provide care for the child.

The legal documents surfaced after Lord Lamba, who had not publicly acknowledged his daughter previously, shared her photo for the first time on Thursday, February 29. This came shortly after Queen Mercy Atang announced her engagement to David, a UK-based biomedical scientist.

Furthermore, Lord Lamba shared his daughter’s passport online, showcasing her surname, which combines his name and surname.

Critics accused him of only acknowledging his child after Queen Mercy Atang’s engagement to another man.

In response, Lord Lamba dismissed the criticism on his Instagram Stories, stating,

“I know Nigerians always fall for pity card.”
