Passengers injured as BRT bus crash on Lagos-Abeokuta highway

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), has confirmed a serious accident involving two BRT buses on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

The accident is said to have occurred at about 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning by the exclusive BRT corridor, just in front of Conoil at Valley Estate, inward IleZik.

LASTMA, disclosed this in an online video on its official X handle, confirming several persons were injured.

The Traffic Management wrote: “A serious accident has occurred on the BRT corridor, just in front of Conoil at Valley Estate, inward Ile Zik on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

“Effect of this occurrence on traffic is minimal, however, our officers, as well as all other concerned authorities, including men of the Nigerian Police Force are on the ground doing the needful.”

It was gathered that many passengers were injured but no casualties were record during the accident.
