Four individuals tragically lost their lives, with three others sustaining various injuries in a devastating accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The accident occurred when a luxury bus collided with a truck, leaving a grim aftermath.
The Public Education Officer for Ogun State Sector of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident in Abeokuta.
Okpe revealed that the truck failed to stop after the bus collided with it while navigating a bend around the “Kara” area on the expressway.
In this unfortunate incident, a total of 21 people, comprising 13 men and eight women, were involved. Okpe further informed that the deceased have been respectfully placed in a morgue located in the Sagamu region of the state.
“The corpses were deposited at a morgue in Sagamu in Ogun, while the injured were taken to a nearby hospital,” she said.
