Napoli and Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, has claimed the top spot in the Italian Footballers’ Association awards for the 2022–23 season.
Osimhen’s exceptional contributions, marked by 26 goals, played a pivotal role in securing Napoli’s Serie A title, ending a 33-year drought.
The 24-year-old has also earned a spot in the Serie A team of the year, standing alongside standout players like Mike Maignan, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, and Hakan Çalhanoğlu. Osimhen’s remarkable season reflects in his eighth-place ranking in the 2023 Ballon d’Or and nominations for the FIFA Best Awards and Globe Soccer Award.
As the football accolades continue to roll in, Osimhen remains a formidable contender, now vying for recognition at the upcoming 2023 CAF Awards on December 11 in Marrakesh, Morocco.
