In the Kasoa Opeikuma community of the Awutu Senya East Municipality in Ghana’s Central Region, a tragic incident occurred where a 59-year-old man, Peter Owusu, lost his life due to a collapsing uncompleted building.

Owusu had been attempting to deter a bird that continuously disturbed the area, making noise from 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

Isaac Opoku Mensah, the Kasoa Branch Pastor of Deeper Life Church, shared insights from the deceased’s widow. She recounted that after Mr. Owusu initially scared away the bird with a stone, it returned ten minutes later.

In an effort to permanently remove the bird, Owusu scaled the building. Regrettably, the structure collapsed suddenly, leading to his fatal injury.

Efforts were made to save him as he was rushed to the Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital. However, he was declared dead upon reaching the medical facility.
