ENUGU — The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has appointed Ogbueshi Godfrey Odogwu as its Deputy Secretary-General, Worldwide.
His appointment was confirmed at a meeting of the Global Executive Council (GEC) held at the Ohanaeze World Headquarters in Enugu.
The meeting was presided over by the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator John Azuta Mbata.
Following his confirmation by the Council, Odogwu was immediately sworn in to represent Delta State in the GEC.
Odogwu currently serves as the Director-General of the Anioma State Creation Technical Committee Secretariat and is also the President of the Asaba Development Union, Abuja.
He brings to the position extensive experience spanning banking and finance, international business administration, and consultancy.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo said his appointment reflects the organisation’s commitment to strengthening Igbo unity and harnessing credible leadership across its structures.
It also noted that his emergence is a recognition of his administrative competence and long-standing contributions to the socio-cultural, economic, and political advancement of Ndi Igbo globally.
