The Coroner’s inquest into the demise of the Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, convened at the Magistrate court in Ikorodu, Lagos, on Friday. The inquest has scheduled October 13th for witnesses to provide their testimony.

Funmi Falana, who represents Mohbad’s family, was among the attorneys present. They held closed-door discussions at Candide Johnson’s court to plan the procedures for hearing the evidence.

After the proceedings, Falana spoke with journalists and clarified, “Today, we discussed the how and when of the procedures that will contribute to achieving justice. The date has been set, and we will be summoning our witnesses.”

She emphasized their unwavering commitment to seeking justice for the late Mohbad, saying, “We stand for the cause of justice, and while we should promote peace, justice must ultimately prevail. We are determined to uncover the cause of his death.”

It’s important to note that Mohbad passed away at the age of 27 on September 12th and was laid to rest the following day. This event garnered significant attention on social media.
