Hon. Eng. Emeka Nwaobi Elected Chairman of Nigerian Majority Leaders Forum

Hon. Eng. Emeka Emmanuel Nwaobi, a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party and the Honourable Member representing Aniocha North constituency in Delta State Assembly, has been elected as the Chairman of the Nigerian Majority Leaders Forum in a significant election held on Wednesday, November 22, at the Exclusive Serene Hotels in Wuye, Abuja.

The election, which followed a two-day retreat gathering of Majority Leaders from across Nigeria at the same venue, saw the motion for the approval and confirmation of the newly constituted Executive Committee (EXCO) put forward by the Majority Leader of the Sokoto State House of Assembly and seconded by the Majority Leader of the Ekiti State House of Assembly.

The newly appointed EXCO members include:

Chairman – Hon. Engr. Emeka Emmanuel Nwaobi, representing Delta State.

Deputy Chairman – Hon. Faruk Aliyu Jega, hailing from Kebbi State.

Financial Secretary – Hon. Abdulrazak Suleiman, representing Kogi State.

Treasurer – Hon. Onaolapp Sango Adedoyin, hailing from Oyo State.

Publicity Secretary – Hon. Okoro Uchenna Kalu, representing Abia State.

Secretary – Hon. Jethro Yakubu Zikengyu, representing Taraba State.

The Vice Chairmen of the Forum hail from various regions:

South South – Rt. Hon. Obolo Bobou, from Bayelsa State.

North Central – Hon. Saater Tiseer, representing Benue State.

South East – Hon. S.R. Ofodeme Ikenna, from Anambra State.

South West – Hon. Ofunmolabuti Olumola, representing Ondo State.

North East – Hon. Sale Holi Jibir, from Bauchi State.

North West – Hon. Shamsudeen Dabai, representing Katsina State.

Hon. Emeka Nwaobi’s political journey boasts a robust track record, including his service as a Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties for Delta State from 2010 to 2011. He was sworn in as a Member of the Delta State House of Assembly in 2016, representing Aniocha North State Constituency, and has maintained this position for three consecutive tenures. Presently, he serves as the Majority Leader in the Delta State 8th Assembly.
