Senator representing Anambra South district in the National Assembly, Ifeanyi Ubah has passed on.

According to Vanguard News, the politician and businessman met his demise in a hospital in the United Kingdom, UK where he went for an operation.

Senator Ubah was said to have departed Nigeria for the UK, two days ago.

Senator Ubah died during an operation in London, a source close to the lawmaker, has said.

“Yes, he is dead,” the source, who is a friend of the legislator, confirmed.

“We are waiting for the family to issue a statement. We spoke to him three times yesterday, before he went into the theatre for the operation.”

Ubah, who joined the All Progressives Congress, APC, a few months ago, was billed to seek the party’s ticket ahead of the Anambra State governorship election.

Details of his demise are still scanty as of the time of filing this report. But a source claimed he made a monetary donation to the Anambra APC two days ago.

This is coming just few days after the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu passed on.
