In a thrilling encounter, Nigeria’s Super Eagles triumphed over Angola, securing a spot in the semi-finals of the 2023 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup in Cote d’Ivoire.

Ademola Lookman’s lone goal in the 41st minute proved to be the game-changer, highlighting the team’s resilience and prowess.

Despite a fiercely contested match at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, the Super Eagles emerged victorious, edging closer to AFCON glory.

The encounter witnessed a total of four yellow cards, with the Palancas Negras receiving three and Nigeria one, underscoring the intensity of the battle.

Additionally, a 75th-minute header from Napoli striker Victor Osihmen was controversially overruled by Senegalese referee Issa Sy.
