Chief Arthur Eze, the Chancellor of Azman University, Kano, has generously donated N200 million to support the institution’s development. Speaking during the inauguration of the university’s Board of Trustees and Governing Council in Kano, he praised the founder of the university and pledged his ongoing support to its goals for optimal growth.

Eze fondly recalled his positive relationships in the North, particularly in Kano, during the tenure of the late former Kano governor, Abubakar Rimi. He emphasized that these connections led him to support the region in various ways, including a recent contribution of N800 million to Boko Haram victims.

Dr. AbdulManaf Sarina, Chairman of the university’s Governing Board, highlighted that Chief Arthur Eze was appointed as Chancellor in recognition of his significant contributions to educational development across Nigeria. The Founder and Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Abdulmanaf Yunusa Sarina, assured that the institution would prioritize quality education as it prepares to begin its full academic session soon.

The Board of Trustees and Governing Council, which were inaugurated, will play crucial roles in guiding the university’s activities and overall management. Dr. Abdulmanaf Yunusa further mentioned that the university’s journey began five years ago with the aim of contributing to education and fostering the development of ambitious young minds through a private varsity.

He acknowledged the support and encouragement received from the National Universities Commission (NUC) during the establishment of the institution. Dr. Abdulmanaf Yunusa also revealed the university’s plan to provide free education to vulnerable youths who have the passion to study but lack the financial means.

Prof. Muhammad Yahuza, the Chairman of the occasion, emphasized that the inauguration of the board is a significant milestone for the university, which obtained its license five years ago.

The Vice President of the institution, Alhaji Mustapha Abdulmunafi, expressed the university’s commitment to achieving and showcasing the power of diversity, learning, and growth, which will positively impact both the environment and the world.

The Board of Trustees includes Ado Maaji as Chairman, Sarki Ibrahim Makama, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar, Prof. M.S. Haruna, Dr. Bashir Aliyu, Amb. Mannir Liman, Prof. Oguga Ikpeze, Zainab Abdulmunafi, and Mustapha A. Yunusa, who will serve as Secretary.

Members of the Governing Council are Dr. Abdulmunafi Yunusa as Chairman, Prof. Fatima Mukhtar, Prof. Kabiru Dandago, and Prof. Aminu Kabir. Additionally, the council includes representatives from the National Universities Commission, Dr. Yusuf Kofar-Mata, and representatives from Bayero University Kano, Haruna Yar-Gaya, and Mustapha Abdulmunafi Yunusa.
