The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has urged the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to ensure that all Nigerians have access to quality telecommunications services.

Gbajabiamila expressed concern that some areas of the country have no access to mobile telecommunications services.

The House Ad hoc Committee is currently investigating why the NCC has failed to promote widespread availability and usage of mobile telecommunication services nationwide, as well as the total accruals into the Universal Service Provision Fund and its expenditures since inception.

The committee will also investigate the level of service delivery in the telecommunication sector and ensure that all Nigerians have access to efficient and qualitative service delivery.
