INEC declares Douye Diri winner of Bayelsa Gubernatorial election with 175,196 Votes

Officially, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Douye Diri, the incumbent Governor of Bayelsa State from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the winner of the November 11, 2023, gubernatorial election.

Diri secured a total of 175,196 votes, surpassing his closest competitor, Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 110,308 votes.
