In a viral video conducted in the Yoruba dialect, an aunt of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad has come forward to provide insight into the circumstances surrounding his upbringing following his parents’ divorce.

Contrary to misconceptions, she explained that Mohbad’s mother was only allowed to leave with her youngest child, while Mohbad remained with his father.

The aunt also stressed that Mohbad’s mother maintained contact with her three other children who continued to reside with her ex-husband.

Furthermore, she revealed that during his lifetime, Mohbad had requested their family to refrain from sharing his personal struggles on social media to ensure their safety.
