Chief Sam Nkire, a founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Caucus, has offered valuable advice to President Bola Tinubu regarding the formation of his ministerial list.

In a statement released in Abuja on Monday, the esteemed APC leader emphasized the importance of prioritizing the party’s growth while selecting potential ministers. He suggested that there is still ample time to review the list and carefully consider individuals who will genuinely contribute to the development of both the party and the nation.

Nkire expressed concern that including individuals who cannot actively contribute to the growth of the ruling All Progressives Congress and Nigeria at various levels—Ward, Local Government, State, and Federal—might not be in the party’s best interest.

He urged President Tinubu to take a final look at the list, ensuring that it reflects a commitment to unify and strengthen the APC beyond its existing state when he assumed office.

Maintaining unwavering faith in President Tinubu’s discernment, Nkire conveyed his belief that capable professionals within the party can be identified to effectively promote and expand the progressive ideals of the ruling party throughout the country.

In a sincere appeal to the eventual nominees, Chief Sam Nkire called upon them to view themselves as ambassadors of the All Progressives Congress. He encouraged them to wholeheartedly uphold the provisions of the party’s manifesto, which propelled them to power in the first place. By staying true to these principles, they can serve the nation and the APC with dedication and distinction.
