Sophia Momodu, the mother of Davido’s first child, Imade, has revealed her intention to change their daughter’s surname from Imade Adeleke to Momudu.

During a conversation with some of her fans on Snapchat, she mentioned that she has been fulfilling both parental roles for Imade. When cautioned about the potential misinterpretation of her comments, Sophia replied, “Our elders say the truth is bitter. I haven’t even started yet.”

Sophia Momodu also agreed with remarks suggesting that her ex-partner, Davido, turned his back on her and their daughter, Imade, after she moved on. In a post, she expressed her eagerness to change Imade’s last name, as she believes Momodu is fitting since she is both a mother and a father.

In a previous Twitter rant, Momodu had criticized men who employ financial coercion to keep women in relationships.
