Ahead of the Africa Cup of Nation, AFCON the have laid out plans to ensure that the Nigeria football team, Super Eagles are well taken care of.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)  Media Director, Ademola Olajire, revealed that the Super Eagles will camp in the United Arab Emirates before the start of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in January 2024.

“The Super Eagles camping details are not out yet, but they will camp in the UAE,” the NFF media director said.

The 2023 AFCON is barely six weeks away, and the Super Eagles will be looking to claim a fourth African title when they travel to Ivory Coast in January.

Nigeria qualified for the biennial tournament after winning their group over second-placed Guinea Bissau, Sao Tome and Principe and Sierra Leone.

AFCON is billed to hold in Cote d’Ivoire next year, with the kick-off scheduled for January 13, 2024, at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan. The final is set for 11 February 2024.

As usual, the AFCON coincides with the European season, but players would have to leave their clubs at least a week before the competition begins.
