Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara has taken a significant step towards improving the quality of services in the state. He has signed an executive order to reduce the number of state ministries from 28 to 16. The aim of this restructuring is to enhance governance, reduce the cost of administration, and ensure efficient service delivery.

Malam Nuhu Anka, the Director General of Media and Communication in the governor’s office, issued a statement in Gusau confirming this development. According to the governor, the restructuring is a crucial part of his administration’s rescue mission for the state. It will not only affect ministries but also extend to government departments, agencies, and parastatals. The objective is to promote effectiveness, functionality, and eliminate redundancy.

Governor Lawal emphasized that individuals with proven integrity and a strong work ethic will be appointed to lead the ministries. This move is aimed at fostering enhanced governance and driving the development of the state. Additionally, the restructuring policy is expected to create more opportunities and generate employment for the citizens, while strengthening government operations.

The governor urged the people of Zamfara to support the government’s policies and programs. He also appealed to them to continue praying for the restoration of peace and tranquility in the state.
