As Anambra mourns the passing of former Governor Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju, his remains have found their resting place at Ndikpa Village, Uli, Ihiala Local Government Area of the state.

Mbadinuju died on April 11, 2023. The journey to his final resting place started with a formal lying-in-state ceremony at the Anambra State Government House, Awka, and afterward, a commendation service where many sons and daughters of Anambra State paid tribute to the late former governor at the International Convention Centre, Awka.

Soludo was among the top dignitaries who graced the event.

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, amongst other former governors, distinguished guests, and the people of Anambra State joined in the interdenominational service held to pray for the peaceful repose of his soul.

In his speech at the funeral on Friday, Governor Soludo said the late former Anambra leader left numerous legacy projects scattered across the state.

He recalled what security was at his time and how he did his best to reclaim the state from the criminal elements.

The late Mbadinuju governed Anambra from 1999 to 2003 on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). He is remembered for introducing the Monday Morning Prayers in Anambra State and as well as his slogan, ‘It Shall be well with Anambra State.’
