Georgina Rodriguez has faced allegations of showing disrespect towards Dolores Aveiro, Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother, on their son Ronaldo Jr’s 13th birthday. According to Sportskeeda, Georgina shared photos of the birthday celebration on Instagram, but Dolores Aveiro was noticeably absent from the pictures. This led to criticism from journalists on the Portuguese TV show Noite das Estrelas, who commented on Georgina’s cold treatment of her mother-in-law.
The birthday celebration took place in Saudi Arabia while Cristiano Ronaldo was on international duty with the Portuguese national team for their Euro 2024 qualifier against Iceland. Dolores Aveiro and her partner, Jose Andrade, traveled from Portugal to attend the June 17th celebration, where Georgina was present with the children. Georgina shared pictures of the event on her Instagram, but Dolores also posted a video of the party on her own social media account.
During the discussion on Noite das Estrelas, commentator Maya expressed her concern about the way Dolores Aveiro was seemingly kept at a distance while Georgina was seated with the children. Maya remarked, “What strikes me the most is that while Georgina is sitting with the children, Dolores Aveiro remains standing, far away. It doesn’t look pretty to me; this seems like a lack of respect.”
