Nigerians on social media react to UK Prime Minister’s €8bn pledge to fix potholes

Nigerians on social media are currently reacting to a photo posted by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

The image features Sunak and his cabinet posing in front of a pothole, with Sunak declaring that it would be the last time UK residents see such road issues. He announced a €8bn allocation from his government to address potholes.

However, social media users from Nigeria expressed surprise at the UK government’s focus on what they consider mild potholes. Many suggested that the British officials should visit Nigeria to witness the more severe road conditions.
