In a historic triumph at the 2023 French Open, Novak Djokovic solidified his status as the winningest male tennis player of all time. The Serbian sensation claimed victory over Casper Ruud with a commanding scoreline of 7-6, 6-3, 7-5 on the illustrious Court Philippe-Chatrier.

With this remarkable achievement, Djokovic has now secured a minimum of three titles in each of the four prestigious Grand Slam tournaments: Wimbledon, the US Open, the Australian Open, and the French Open. His unmatched consistency and unrivaled skill have elevated him to a league of his own.

Despite a rocky start, relinquishing the first three games of the opening set, Djokovic displayed his trademark resilience and staged a spectacular comeback. After a gripping tiebreak, he emerged victorious with a score of 7-6, requiring a crucial break point rescue in the eighth game to level the playing field at 4-4. The first set concluded after an enthralling one hour and 21 minutes.

In the second set, Djokovic showcased his dominance, sprinting to a 3-0 advantage and sealing the set in a swift 52 minutes. Although Ruud attempted to stage a comeback in the third set, the 22-time Grand Slam champion exhibited his unwavering focus and thwarted the Norwegian’s challenge. After an intense battle lasting three hours and 13 minutes, Djokovic emerged triumphant with a 7-5 victory in the final set.

With this monumental win, Djokovic has drawn level with Serena Williams in terms of total Grand Slam titles and now stands just one championship away from Margaret Court, who holds the record with an astonishing 24 Grand Slam titles. The tennis world stands in awe of Djokovic’s extraordinary talent and eagerly anticipates his next pursuit of sporting immortality.
