Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko has been honored by the Institute of Medical and Health Law for his dedicated efforts in spearheading a significant project aimed at eradicating malaria in Africa, a continent heavily burdened by the disease.

Recognizing his philanthropic contributions to health initiatives and remarkable achievements in the legal sector as an international legal luminary, the institute conferred upon Senator Ned Nwoko the title of Fellow (Honoris Causa).

The induction ceremony, presided over by Professor Uwakwe Abugu, Chairman of the board of trustees, took place on Tuesday, November 14. Senator Nwoko expressed alignment between the institute’s mission—advancing optimal healthcare service delivery through advocacy, education, international best practices, and professional accountability—and his own commitment as both an international legal practitioner and health enthusiast.

Acknowledging Senator Nwoko’s advocacy, the institute commended him for revealing his intent to introduce a bill mandating nationwide autopsies within a specific timeframe before burials, with the government covering the associated costs.

Senator Nwoko also pledged to present additional health and wellness-related bills in the Senate, further emphasizing his dedication to the overall well-being of the people.
