Nigerian artist Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has finally addressed the derogatory remarks made against him by fellow singer Asa last year.

During an interview with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Radio, Asa allegedly referred to Kcee as an “idiot.” She stated, “For Kcee, finishing ahead of me [in Star Quest] is like a Grammy award for him. He is such an idiot.”

In a recent interview with GoldMyne TV, Kcee responded to Asa’s outburst by emphasizing that her opinion, whether it be love or hate, has no impact on his financial success. He also expressed his admiration for Asa’s music, highlighting her role as a source of inspiration for many.

He stated, “I consider myself a legend. I don’t pay attention to anyone’s opinions. I don’t care about what anybody says about me. I have the freedom to express myself whenever and wherever I choose.”

“I still love Asa’s songs and appreciate her music. I am a fan of hers. Whether she loves me or hates me, it does not affect my financial standing in any way.”
