Kenneth Chibuogwu Gbandi, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) senate candidate for the 2023 Delta North senatorial election and Deputy National Chairman of ADC Diaspora Engagement, has extended his congratulations to Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, the incumbent senator representing Delta North, on his recent victory in the Tribunal.

On September 7th, the National Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal in Asaba, Delta State, dismissed separate petitions filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Labour Party (LP) Delta North senatorial candidates, challenging Senator Nwoko’s election win. The tribunal cited a lack of merit in both petitions and upheld Senator Nwoko’s victory, as previously declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In his congratulatory message to Senator Nwoko, Gbandi expressed the following sentiments:

“Having waited patiently for this legal democratic process, with specific emphasis on Delta North Senatorial National Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal in Asaba, Delta State, and having diligently followed Justice Catherine Ogunsanya’s judgment over the National Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal in Asaba, Delta State, which on Thursday 7th Sep. affirmed you the winner, I wish to officially congratulate you my Distinguished Senator, Prince Ned Nwoko on your election victory both at the poll and at the tribunal.”

“I had the privilege of a brief but robust conversation with you about Anioma, Delta State, and Nigeria before the election at Hampton Hotel Asaba and I have no doubt you meant well for Delta North and ANIOMA Nation.”

“As a proud ANIOMA son, I look forward to supporting you my distinguished senator Prince Ned Nwoko, and pledge to rally Delta indigenes and Nigerians in the Diaspora to support your program and ideas to improve ANIOMA, Nigeria, and Diaspora visibility in the economic and social-political space in Nigeria.”

“As a proud member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), I will engage in constructive, effective, and responsible opposition to make sure that the development trajectory of Delta North is improved and sustained for equal, fair, just, strong united Delta State that will be the destination for smart investment and youth capacity building.”

“The people of Delta North have spoken and the court of competent jurisdiction has affirmed that.”

“God bless Senator Prince Ned Nwoko representing Delta North senatorial Zone.”
