In a chilling turn of events, three Islamic clerics find themselves in the custody of the Oyo State Criminal Investigation Department, accused of participating in the horrifying beheading of a middle-aged man.

The victim, employed by one of the accused, fell victim to a deceitful scheme that led him to a remote area in Moniya, located in the Akinyele Local Government Area of the state. He had been promised a job opportunity but tragically lost his life in the secluded bush.

Subsequent to the heinous act, law enforcement authorities apprehended the suspects in Apete, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Ido Local Government Area.

Notably, one of the accused is a well-known cleric recognized for his distinctive turban within the Islamic community of Alapata.

The case has since been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department in Iyaganku, where a thorough investigation is set to take place.
