A middle-aged man who runs a barbershop in Ilorin, the capital city of Kwara has been arrested by operatives of the Police command in the State.
This arrest is in connection with the tragic passing of a young woman during a sexual encounter that took place on Monday.
Confirming the incident on Tuesday, the Police stated that they have started investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the lady, who is reported to have passed away after an intimate encounter with her boyfriend at a guest house in Ilorin.
Daily post reports that the incident took place on Monday at a guest house situated in the Temidire community, Offa Garage area within the city.
According to unconfirmed reports from local residents, it is alleged that the man may have consumed substances in an effort to impress his girlfriend, resulting in the tragic outcome of the situation.
A source said that the man raised an alarm when the lady reportedly became unconscious and thus attracted workers at the guest house. The lady was said to have been rushed to a nearby hospital where she was confirmed dead.
When the owner of the guest house reported the incident at the Police ‘A’ Division, Ilorin, the middle-aged man [lady’s boyfriend] was subsequently arrested.
The spokesperson of the Kwara Police Command Okasanmi Ajayi confirmed the incident but said it is being investigated.
He said, “The state police command has arrested the man involved while full investigations have commenced to know what actually happened between the man and the deceased”
