Coup leaders in Niger announce end to curfew after seizing power

After seizing power and overthrowing the elected president on July 26, 2023, the coup leaders in Niger have now decided to lift the curfew they had imposed, officially announcing it through a decree signed by coup leader Abdourahamane Tiani on late Thursday.

This move comes amid the country’s ongoing crisis.
